Take Back the Night is an annual event and awareness campaign by Notre Dame's Gender Relations Center. In 2017, the campaign featured the three 'sibling' colleges Notre Dame, Saint Mary's, and Holy Cross College, and utilized multichannel marketing materials to maximize impact across the campuses.
The print assets, t-shirts, and digital mockups were designed in Photoshop and Illustrator, featuring photography from the 2016 event and custom vector drawings of the three campuses' most prominent buildings. The logo is an iteration of the event's traditional logo which references the Grotto candles used at the Candlelight Vigil.
All of the campaign materials feature minimalist vector drawings of Notre Dame's, Saint Mary's, and Holy Cross College's most prominent buildings, providing unity across the campuses.
The print channel of the campaign featured posters and table tents that were distributed widely across the three campuses' dining halls, residence halls, and academic buildings.
The t-shirt channel of the campaign is a signature part of GRC's efforts to build awareness. Hundreds of shirts were distributed to students across all three campuses in anticipation of the event.
For proof of concept, a digital channel concept was prototyped (though not fully implemented) to show potential for future use of 'mini-sites' for the GRC's signtature annual events.
