About Lauren

Lauren Weldon is a student at the University of Notre Dame, working towards dual degrees in Business Analytics and Visual Communication Design, with a concentration in designing impactful user experiences and user interfaces. Lauren merges her design and business backgrounds through user-centered design principles, basing design decisions on user needs and business goals.

Before diving into user experience design, Lauren worked with kids and teens for six years, teaching courses in digital media and development. At Notre Dame she is the Graphics Editor for the Notre Dame and Saint Mary’s College student-run newspaper, The Observer, and a design intern for both the Notre Dame Alumni Association and the Gender Relations Center.

Lauren is a Bay Area native, and in her spare time she loves playing and singing music, walking on the beach with her dog, taking on ‘brogrammers’ at hackathons, and teaching kids to play with Photoshop instead of their smartphones.
